Complaints
Complaints relating to the management of neighboring rights (in particular in connection with the authorization to manage rights, the termination or withdrawal of rights, membership terms, the collection of amounts due to right holders, deductions and distributions) may be submitted by registered mail to the registered office of the company SIMIM (Lenneke Marelaan 8, 1932 Zaventem).
The complaint should include the following: your identity, your postal address, your e-mail address, your telephone number, your contact person details and, if applicable, your details regarding your company (company number and VAT number). The complaint must also contain the exact description of its subject and the facts on which it is based. In addition, it must be supported by all relevant documents.
SIMIM will respond in writing no later than one month after the day on which the complaint was filed. In exceptional cases, the response period may be extended by a maximum of one month. Where appropriate, SIMIM will indicate the reason for the extension of this period.
If SIMIM considers the complaint unfounded (or certain parts of it), it will certainly indicate the reasons for this.
All procedures for handling complaints and the rules of contestation are in accordance with Article XI. 273/1 of the Code of Economic Law
